Qualifikationen

• BLS certification required; if not, obtain within 30 days of hire.

Monitor Technician

Full Time I Night Shift

Emergency Department I Lexington, KY

An Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness.

Description:

• Monitor Technician provides continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms with documentation and communication of pertinent arrhythmias and changes in rate, rhythm, NBP, and/or oxygen saturation to nurse responsible.
• Observes cardiac monitor, oxygen saturation and Blood pressure. Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Documents and communicate information regarding patient rhythms and Oxygen saturations, and blood pressure.
• Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities, or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor or other health care team members.
• Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year's experience.
• RN License, LPN, prior monitor tech experience (substitute for degree)
• Dysrhythmia courses are completed during orientation and recertified annually.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
