Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Nursing Float Pool. The role requires 2 x 12-hour shifts weekly (7a–7p) with a willingness to float to Atrium Health Union, Union West, Waxhaw ED and Anson as needed.

The department emphasizes evidence-based care, patient-family engagement, and strong teamwork with a focus on safety, documentation, and professional development. A BSN is preferred, with 1 year of clinical nursing experience and active RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges in the applicable state(s).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance, quality initiatives to improve care.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and maintain patient safety practices.
• Document accurately in the EHR and ensure proper delegation as needed.
• May administer medications and therapies per clinical protocols.
