Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse to join the Nursing Float Pool. The position requires 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, from 7p to 7a, with every other weekend. Nurses may float to Atrium Health Union, Union West and Anson to meet patient care needs.

The role uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes. Strong communication, teamwork and EHR documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state(s).
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions and updates care plans accordingly.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Promotes safety culture and collaborates with the care team.
