Medix is seeking a front desk professional in Hartford, CT to manage patient check-in, data entry, and insurance verification. You will greet patients, collect demographic information, and ensure forms are properly signed and scanned.

The role focuses on accurate data handling, HIPAA compliance, and delivering excellent customer service while coordinating with clinical staff and handling front desk duties. Training programs are provided during onboarding.

• Patient Registration & Data Entry: Greeting patients, collecting demographic information, scanning IDs and insurance cards, and ensuring forms are completed.
• Insurance Verification & Authorization: Verifying eligibility and initiating authorizations.
• Customer Service & Communication: Providing service, addressing inquiries, managing wait times, and coordinating with clinical staff.
• Medical Front Desk Operations: Handling calls, maintaining front desk, HIPAA compliance, and processing payments.
• General Duties: Participating in training, reporting discrepancies, and supporting team.

• Patient Registration & Data Entry: Greeting patients, collecting accurate demographic information, scanning IDs and insurance cards, and ensuring all necessary forms are completed and signed.
• Insurance Verification & Authorization: Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, identifying primary and secondary plans, communicating financial responsibilities to patients, and initiating/following up on prior authorizations.
• Customer Service & Communication: Providing excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries, managing wait times, de-escalating difficult situations, and collaborating with clinical staff.
• Medical Front Desk Operations: Managing phone calls, maintaining the front desk area, adhering to HIPAA regulations, and processing patient payments.
• General Duties: Participating in ongoing training, reporting discrepancies, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Public - Schedule/Shift

For training you will need to be available during the day, there is a two week Epic training program that is computer based M-F 8-5 and then you would shadow for two weeks with a day or mid shift, so flexible between 7 AM - 11:45 PM.
