Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking engineers to design, develop, and release Electronic Control Units for North American vehicle lines, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams across multiple plants. The role emphasizes DFMEA/DVP&R development, problem solving, and documentation to ensure robust hardware releases.

Responsibilities include leading ECU design and release, performing root cause analysis, mentoring junior engineers, and driving continuous improvement to reduce warranty costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive engineering, focusing on electrical systems and components.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues and optimize designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and release of ECU components.
• Root Cause Analysis: identify and resolve technical issues using root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Best Practices and Documentation: create, implement, and manage engineering best practices, including core DFMEA and DVP documents for driveline systems.
• Continuous Improvement: proactively seek opportunities to improve designs, processes, and products.
• Mentoring: mentor and provide technical direction to other engineers.
• Total Warranty Cost Reduction: identify areas of improvement to reduce total warranty costs.
• Presentation Skills: prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and project updates to stakeholders.
• Industry Competitiveness: stay up to date with latest advancements and incorporate innovative solutions into product designs.
