Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Design Release Engineer – BCM to drive the design, development, validation, and release of Body Control Module components for automotive programs. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to meet electrical and performance requirements.

The role covers the full product lifecycle from requirements through production launch, with emphasis on DFMEA, DVP&R, and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic/automotive engineering or related field.
• 3+ years automotive engineering experience in electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience with BCM or related ECUs and automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, integration, validation, and release of BCM components and related electrical systems.
• Own BCM component engineering activities and ensure designs meet functional, electrical, performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
• Work closely with suppliers to coordinate development, reviews, issue resolution, validation, and engineering changes.
• Review and maintain technical specifications, engineering requirements, drawings, and component documentation.
• Support DFMEA, DVP&R, and other engineering documentation for BCM components.
• Coordinate component validation and verification activities and ensure testing is completed according to program requirements.
• Support vehicle-level integration, development builds, validation events, and production launch activities.
• Investigate and resolve BCM-related electrical, functional, communication, and integration issues using structured root cause analysis.
