ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role entails supporting warehouse operations by supplying tools and materials to employees on jobsites and maintaining a well-organized warehouse environment.
- Transporting materials to and from jobsites using company vehicles.
- Employing internal processes to accurately receive and stage parts for local operations.
- Aiding delivery drivers in loading and unloading tasks.
- Assisting Field Technicians in retrieving parts and materials.
- Loading trucks with materials for shipment.
- Unloading trucks upon their return from jobsites.
- Checking in and cleaning tools.
- Selecting products from shelves.
- Handling scrap and waste materials.
- Operating a forklift.
$25 per hour-$27.40 per hour + discretionary bonus + employee ownership + benefits
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of materials and tools used in the electrical/low voltage industry preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Basic skills such as inspection, math and reading.
- Ability to work overtime occasionally as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand for an 8–10 hour shift.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Records check.
- Prior Forklift Operator certification preferred, we will train or retrain on company forklifts.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This job operates in a warehouse environment; and is exposed to weather conditions.
- Employees are required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Employees are frequently required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- This position requires the ability to bend or stand as necessary, for up to a 10-hour shift.
- Employees are occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- Employees are required to routinely handle objects weighing up to 10 pounds and regularly lift or move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
