Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education.
• Minimum of two years of experience with young children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
• Design and deliver developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly and adjust strategies.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide support and training to paraprofessionals and volunteers.
• Maintain records of progress, attendance, and behavior.
• Participate in professional development to stay current.
• Foster relationships with community resources.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field

Master’s degree (preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team
