Job summary

ServingSchools is seeking an Early Childhood Special Education Services Coordinator in Portland, ME. The role supports ECSE classrooms from ages 3–5, coordinating IEPs, transitions, and compliance across district and partner programs.

The position emphasizes collaboration with families, educators, and related service providers to deliver high‑quality inclusive services and ensure developmentally appropriate practices in all settings.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in special education or related field is required.
• Minimum of three years leading IEP meetings and serving as LEA representative.
• Experience teaching or supporting ECSE students and working in mixed delivery systems.
• Experience supporting children with significant or complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage IEPs and ensure compliance with IDEA Part B and timelines.
• Serve as LEA representative for IEP meetings with family participation.
• Monitor IEP processes and documentation for compliance.
• Support transitions from Part C to Part B and preschool to kindergarten.
• Coordinate district resources and collaboration with ECSE staff.
• Lead case review meetings and support student transitions out of ECSE.
• Provide coaching to ECSE classroom staff and families.
