Job summary

Springfield School District - VT is hiring a Primary/Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator to lead ECSE services for 3-year-olds through 2nd grade. The role requires educational leadership, advocacy, and administrative oversight to ensure FAPE and compliance across the district.

The coordinator collaborates with the Director of Special Education Services, supervises ECSE staff, participates in IEP/504/EST teams, and supports EMTSS implementation and ESY planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education with Vermont Director of Special Education endorsement.
• License in Early Childhood Education and/or Early Childhood Special Education with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of civil rights and state/federal special education law and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead district-wide ECSE coordination for ages 3 through 2nd grade.
• Assist in hiring, supervising and evaluating special education staff.
• Serve as LEA at IEP meetings and coordinate 504/ESY planning.
• Coordinate data collection for Child Count, reporting, and budget.
• Collaborate with EMTSS and Director of Special Services.
