Job summary

LDH-Medical Vendor Administration in Tangipahoa Parish seeks an experienced Supervisor to lead the Economic Stability team delivering SNAP, FITAP, Kinship Care Assistance, and STEP benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six years of economic stability social services experience; or six years of full-time work in any field plus three years in economic stability social services.
  • Bachelor's degree plus three years of economic stability social services experience; or.
  • Advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus two years of economic stability social services experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises Social Service Analysts and an Economic Stability Specialist, including staff training, performance management, leave approval, conflict resolution, and oversight of unit operations across parishes.
  • Leads the resolution of client and staff disputes by conducting interviews, investigating issues, and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Reviews cases and subordinate work for eligibility in SNAP, FITAP, Kinship Care, and STEP.
  • Ensures accurate data entry in LITES and performs verification and documentation reviews.
  • Provides policy guidance and training to staff, interpreting procedures and coordinating with regional program specialists.
  • Compiles and analyzes statistical and management reports; builds partnerships to strengthen referrals and expand client services.

Education

Bachelor's degree
Advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration
