Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Transitional Assistance, is seeking an Economic Assistance Case Worker in Malden to determine initial and ongoing eligibility for TAFDC, EAEDC, and SNAP while promoting equity and client-centered service.

You will conduct interviews, review documents, verify information, connect clients to employment plans and community resources, and monitor cases to ensure compliance with rules and guidelines.

Qualifications

• 4 years of full-time or equivalent experience in social work or related fields.
• A bachelor's degree may substitute two years of experience.
• Knowledge of TAFFDC, EAEDC, SNAP is preferred.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on assignment.

Responsabilités

• Perform case maintenance for TAFDC, EAEDC, and SNAP and coordinate with partners.
• Explain initial and ongoing eligibility decisions to clients.
• Conduct interactive interviews using the agency system.
• Obtain and verify client information and determine eligibility.
• Support client goals with responsive, person-centered communication.
• Assist clients with employment plans and access to training and childcare resources.
• Monitor sanctions and reengagement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules and guidelines.
• Report Domestic Violence concerns as required.
