Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Digital/eCommerce Applications Test Lead to drive quality engineering across customer-facing web and mobile apps. You will own end-to-end testing strategy, collaborate with engineering, product, DevOps to ensure reliable digital experiences in hybrid work model with three days onsite in Irvine, CA.

You will build automation using Playwright/TypeScript, Appium, and Python for REST APIs, integrate tests into CI/CD, mentor QE teams, and report quality metrics to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software quality engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring quality engineering professionals.
• Experience testing eCommerce web and mobile applications.
• Hands-on automation framework development with Playwright/TypeScript.
• REST API testing experience with modern tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end test strategy and release-readiness for ecommerce web and mobile apps.
• Review requirements, develop test scenarios, oversee execution across core journeys.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Appium, and Python tools.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD, manage environments, analyze failures.
• Lead and mentor QE professionals, report quality metrics and risks.
