Job description

E-Commerce Manager

Our client is a fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand in the organic wellness and beauty space, known for building a culture of operational excellence and deep employee engagement. With a lean, high-performing internal growth team and a thriving digital ecosystem, this company has established itself as a standout name in its sector. Their commitment to innovation and people-first leadership has earned them a reputation as a workplace where top talent is developed, valued, and retained. As they continue to scale across multiple channels, they are looking for an E-Commerce Manager to help drive their next chapter of growth.

Position Overview

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact, highly visible role at the center of a fast-moving e-commerce operation. As the connective tissue between marketing, creative, product, supply chain, and customer care, the E-Commerce Manager owns the systems and people that keep the business running and producing. Leading a team of five direct reports spanning copywriting, project management, development, and design, this person will shape both the operational infrastructure and team culture of a high-performing internal growth department. The role offers flexible leveling from Manager to Director depending on the candidate's experience, and a clear long-term path into Amazon marketplace ownership as the business continues to expand. For a candidate who thrives at the intersection of people leadership and operational rigor, this is a career-defining seat.

Position Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end e-commerce operations across a high-volume Shopify ecosystem, including product launches, website updates, workflow management, and quality assurance.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of five direct reports spanning copywriting, project management, development, and design, fostering accountability and a strong team culture.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across marketing, creative, product, supply chain, and customer care to ensure seamless execution of all digital initiatives.
  • Build and maintain the operational systems and processes that keep multiple teams moving in sync, serving as the organizational infrastructure for the growth department.
  • Leverage AI tools and manage ClickUp workflows to optimize team productivity and execution quality.
  • Oversee planning and delivery of product launch calendars, landing page builds, and ongoing website content production.
  • Monitor site performance, identify operational gaps, and implement improvements to drive conversion and elevate the customer experience.
  • Serve as the central point of accountability for all digital project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Support expansion into Amazon operations over time, taking on increasing ownership of marketplace management as the role evolves.
Position Qualifications
  • A proven track record of operational excellence in a high-volume e-commerce environment, with demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and high-performing teams.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in e-commerce operations, digital marketing, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Shopify, including product launches, landing page management, and full-site content operations in a complex, high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with strong people management skills and a high-empathy approach to building team culture.
  • Proficiency with project management platforms such as ClickUp and working comfort with AI tools applied to operational workflows.
Preferred
  • Experience managing or supporting Amazon operations or other marketplace channels.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven workflow automation and a track record of applying emerging tools to improve team output and efficiency.
  • Ability to drive accountability across teams outside of direct reporting lines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
