Job summary

Star Furniture in Houston, TX is hiring an Ecommerce Coordinator to oversee product listings, monitor website performance, coordinate marketing content, and maintain Star's ecommerce platform. You will analyze data to support strategic decisions and collaborate with merchandising on SEO-friendly product descriptions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; ability to read, write, and perform math.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's in Marketing, Advertising, or Ecommerce preferred.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong collaboration and organization.
  • Experience with a CMS in a retail ecommerce environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Upload new products and photography with SEO-friendly descriptions in collaboration with merchandising.
  • Manage website promotions, coupons, store hours and special hours.
  • Assist with planning promotional site content updates from home pages to internal landing pages.
  • Partner with offshore IT to troubleshoot and resolve website issues.
  • Proofread marketing materials such as emails, signage, and promos.
  • Support site functionality testing with IT and Ecommerce Director.
  • Coordinate internal photo shoots with photographers, visual staff, marketing, and buyers.
  • Collaborate on social media messaging and imagery with the Ecommerce Director and team.

About The Role:

The Ecommerce Coordinator will oversee product listings, monitor website performance, coordinate all outbound marketing efforts, maintain Star ’ s eCommerce platform, and analyzing data to support strategic decision‑making.

Reports to:

Director of Ecommerce and Digital Marketing

Essential Functions:
  • Upload new products and photography to Star Furniture ’ s website, ensuring accuracy and SEO-friendly product descriptions in collaboration with the merchandising team.
  • Manage website promotions, coupons, store hours and special hours.
  • Assist with the planning of Promotional Site Content updates – from home pages to internal landing pages collaborating closely with Ecomm Director and Marketing Art Director.
  • Partner with the offshore IT team to troubleshoot and resolve website issues.
  • Proofread marketing materials such as emails, signage and promotional content.
  • Support site functionality testing alongside the IT team and Ecommerce Director.
  • Coordinate internal photo shoots collaborating with the photographers, visual staff, marketing team and buyers.
  • Collaborate on social media messaging and imagery with the Ecommerce Director and team.
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma, GED, or ability to read, write, and perform mathematics at these levels is required.
  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Ecommerce is preferred.
  • Microsoft and Excel knowledge preferred.
  • One year of experience working in a CMS (Content Management System) in a retail Ecommerce environment preferred.

This position operates in a professional office setting and regularly uses standard office equipment including computers, photocopiers and tablets.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This position and hours of work would routinely be 40+ hours per week. Occasional overtime and travel may be necessary based on business needs.
