Job summary

ITA Group is seeking an Ecommerce Accountant to manage the financial close, revenue recognition, deferred revenue reviews, controls, and reporting for our ecommerce and reward fulfillment programs, including Award Services and storefront solutions. The role requires strong accounting knowledge and systems proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting systems, reporting tools, or operational data sources; Sage Intacct experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to research variances, resolve discrepancies, and support accurate financial reporting.
• Ability to manage recurring deadlines, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and communicate risks or competing priorities in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly and professionally to Accounting, Award Services, client-facing teams, leadership, and other internal partners.
• Ability to identify, evaluate, and support process improvement or automation opportunities that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, challenge current processes, and contribute to practical solutions in a changing business environment.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, professionalism, and commitment to internal and external customer service.
• Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
• Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close process and reporting for ecommerce and reward programs.
• Oversee revenue recognition and deferred revenue reviews.
• Maintain financial controls and ensure accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Award Services, and client-facing teams to resolve issues and support scalable processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.
