Job summary

Celestica, Inc. seeks an Engineering Change Order (ECO) Specialist in Portland, OR to oversee end-to-end engineering change processes across product lifecycles, collaborating with customer teams and internal Change Control Boards (CCB).

This role focuses on minimizing cost exposure, managing NPI/EOL/E&O, leading cross-functional meetings, and ensuring Copy Exactly methodologies and quality standards are met. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in change control are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering change control, configuration management, or technical operations.

Responsibilities

• ECO Implementation & Governance: Facilitate end-to-end implementation of customer ECOs with customer engineering teams and internal Change Control Boards (CCB).
• Risk, Cost, & Inventory Mitigation: Drive changes to minimize cost exposure and protect delivery commitments.
• CCB Leadership: Lead cross-functional meetings to align stakeholders and coordinate implementation strategies.
• Process Metrics & Improvement: Develop and report metrics to monitor change management effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Quality Standards & Compliance: Ensure Copy Exactly (CE!) methodologies and adherence to quality/configuration standards.
• Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with internal and external customer representatives.
• Project & Relationship Management: Build cross-functional relationships and lead project components to protect resources and timelines.
• Change Management Experience: Proven track record in engineering change management in technical/manufacturing settings.
• MRP / ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with MRP systems and inventory concepts.
• Technical Acumen: Evaluate proposed changes and their impact on manufacturing and cost structures.
• Problem-Solving & Judgment: Develop creative solutions using established guidelines and analytics.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written skills across diverse teams and clients.
• Organization & Agility: Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime and adjust hours to coordinate with global sites.
