Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an ECMO-focused nursing/respiratory therapy role at Carolinas Medical Center - LCH in Charlotte. You will operate ECMO equipment, monitor circuits and provide comprehensive critical care under the ECMO team manager.

The position requires RN or RCP licensure, 3 years of acute care experience, ACLS/PALS/NRP certs, and NC licensure maintenance. Sign-on bonus eligible; rotating weeknights, weekends, and call shifts are included.

Qualifications

• RN or RCP license is required with current licensure.
• Three years of acute care experience in the specialty area.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required; Neonatal, Pediatric or Adult CCC experience preferred.
• ECMO experience and ability to maintain ECMO equipment routines.

Responsibilities

• Operates ECMO equipment and provides care per physician orders and ECMO protocols.
• Monitors pump function, circuit volume, anticoagulation and blood gas parameters.
• Document charges and patient data related to ECMO care.
• Assist with cannulation, decannulation and in-house transport of ECMO patients.
• Maintain competency in ECLS/ECMO procedures with regular drills and time commitments.
