The Medical University of South Carolina seeks an ECMO Specialist to manage ECMO systems and provide expert nursing care in the ICU. The role requires RN licensure and a strong background in critical care nursing across neonatal, pediatric, cardiac, or adult populations, with BSN preferred.

Collaborating with RNs, physicians and the multidisciplinary team, the ECMO Specialist ensures patient safety while coordinating complex care for ECMO patients, under the supervision of the ECMO Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or compact state; BSN enrollment required for some hires.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to ECMO patients on the unit.
• Collaborate with bedside RN, physicians and multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Work under ECMO Nurse Manager supervision and follow nursing process to ensure patient safety.
