Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center seeks an ECMO Specialist to participate in the development and execution of ECMO treatment plans, including assessment, planning, implementation and patient education.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the ECMO physician and the healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete the ECMO care plan, bringing strong critical care experience and relevant licenses/certifications to a high-acuity center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Completion of designated ECMO training program or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.
• 2+ years of critical care experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice (RN in TX) or RRT/CCP certification with NBRC/ACLS/BLS.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of ECMO treatment plans including assessment, planning, implementation and education.
• Communicates with ECMO physician and health-care team to interpret and adjust patient care plan.
