Right Hire Consulting LLC is seeking a Pediatric ECMO Specialist RN for night shifts in a pediatric ICU setting. The role focuses on operating ECMO systems, monitoring patients, and ensuring safety during life-saving interventions.

Ideal candidates have a BSN preferred, current RN license, BLS, and pediatric ICU or ECMO experience. The nurse will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and perfusionists to optimize outcomes and educate families.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ECMO/critical care experience is highly desirable, depending on unit protocols.

Responsabilidades

• Operates ECMO machinery and manages extracorporeal life support during critical procedures in pediatric intensive care environments.
• Assesses, monitors, and documents patient conditions, ECMO circuit parameters, and response to treatment.
• Participates in emergent and urgent interventions, acting swiftly and effectively in high-pressure scenarios.
• Collaborates with physicians, respiratory therapists, and perfusionists to coordinate ECMO treatment plans.
• Assists in weaning and discontinuation of ECMO support as appropriate.
• Contributes to quality improvement, data tracking, and evaluation of clinical outcomes.
• Provides patient and family education related to critical care and ECMO support.
• Acts as a mentor and preceptor to junior nurses and team members.
• Adheres to nursing best practices, regulatory standards, and hospital protocols.
• Engages in ongoing professional development and competency training.
