Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an ECMO Specialist to participate in the development of ECMO treatment plans. The role involves assessment, planning, implementation and education in collaboration with the ECMO physician and care team.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree, completion of ECMO training or equivalent education, and boards/licenses in nursing, respiratory therapy, or perfusion along with BLS/ACLS. Minimum two years of critical care experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• ECMO training program or formal education in extracorporeal circulation.
• RN license or RRT license or CCP perfusion license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development of ECMO treatment plans including assessment, planning, implementation and education.
• Communicate with ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret and adjust ECMO patient care plan.
