Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an ECMO specialist to participate in developing treatment plans through assessment, planning, implementation, and education. You will collaborate with ECMO physicians and the healthcare team to tailor the ECMO patient care plan and ensure effective communication across disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree with an ECMO training background, a Texas RN license (or RRT) with NBRC, CCP certification, and current BLS/ACLS, plus at least

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Completion of designated ECMO training program or formal education in Extracorporeal Circulation.
• Texas RN license or RRT with NBRC.
• CCP - Certified Perfusion license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of a treatment plan including assessment, planning, implementation and education.
• Communicates with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret and adjust the ECMO patient care plan.
• Supports ongoing education and coordination of care within the team.
