Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an ECMO specialist to participate in forming and executing the ECMO treatment plan. You will assess, plan, implement, and educate as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes the ECMO physician and other ICU colleagues.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, ECMO training, and licensure in Texas or comparable respiratory/perfusion credentials, plus BLS/ACLS and at least 2 years of critical care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Completion of an ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.
• RN license in Texas or RRT/CCP licensure are acceptable.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development of the ECMO treatment plan, including assessment, planning, implementation, and education.
• Communicates with the ECMO physician and healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete the ECMO patient care plan.
