Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, TX seeks an ECMO specialist to participate in developing a treatment plan, assess patient needs, implement care, and educate the team. You will communicate with the ECMO physician and other clinicians to interpret and adjust the ECMO care plan.

• Current Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas.
• NBRC certification or CCP perfusion license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be active.
• Minimum of 2 years in a critical care setting.

Job Purpose

• The ECMO specialist participates in the development of a treatment plan, involving assessment, planning, implementation, and education. Communicates with the ECMO physician and other members of the healthcare team to interpret, adjust and complete treatment specific to the ECMO patient care plan.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Completion of a designated ECMO training program, and/or formal education in Extra Corporeal Circulation.

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Registered Nursing License issued by the State of Texas Board of Nursing
• Current NBRC – National Board of Respiratory Care
• Or CCP – Certified Perfusion License

And

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience
