Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current upon hire.
• Current echo registry.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitors patient condition and reports changes.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; selects exposure factors and imaging parameters; ensures safety and quality control; troubleshoots equipment malfunctions.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures; analyzes results and resolves image quality issues; enters and transmits scan results.
