Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking an Echocardiology Technician to join our team on a PRN schedule. You will review patient history, educate patients about procedures, and support imaging with contrast and QC.

The role involves preparing equipment, performing imaging, and reporting scan results to ensure high-quality patient care. Requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree with Echo certification (registered or registry-eligible within 1 year) and BLS within 30 days of hire; one

Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree and Echo certification registered or registry eligible within 1 year.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician’s orders; educate patient about procedures and equipment.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitor patient condition.
• Prepare equipment, select exposure factors; perform QC; troubleshoot malfunctions as needed.
• Position patient and perform imaging; analyze results and identify imaging quality issues.
• Enter and report scan results; ensure accurate transmission of images and findings.
