Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking an experienced echocardiographer in Cherry Hill to perform high-quality ultrasound images of the heart, including 2D echo Doppler, stress echo, and transesophageal procedures. The role supports the Cardiology section under the department leadership.

Per diem, part-time position with on-site schedule at Cherry Hill location. ARDMS/CCI credentialing within one year of hire is required, and BLS certification is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience.
• Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures.
• Graduate of accredited echocardiography program.
• Training / Certification / Licensure: ARDMS or CCI within one year of hire.
• BLS Certification.
• RDCS Pediatric credential or approval for pediatric cases if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2D echo Doppler studies and edits in the digital system for physician interpretation.
• Performs stress echocardiography and dobutamine stress echocardiography studies with interpretation readiness.
• Performs transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist and processes for interpretation.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the department Director and the Medical Director, Section of Cardiology, the echocardiographer will perform high quality ultrasound images of the heart as outlined by the International Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories and departmental policies and procedures. Staff will perform 2D echo Doppler studies, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Staff will support Virtua Health Policies and Procedures and the Virtua Health Mission and Vision Statement.

Job Responsibilities: Completes 2D echo Doppler studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation. Completes stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation. Completes transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist, edits and processes for physician interpretation.

Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience. Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures. Required Education: Graduate of accredited echocardiography program. Training / Certification / Licensure: Echo techs must be credentialed through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire. BLS Certification Pediatric Echocardiography requires RDCS Pediatric credential or approval by interpreting pediatric cardiologists.

Hourly Rate: $52.50
