Job summary

Virtua Health in South Jersey is seeking an experienced echocardiographer to perform high-quality ultrasound images of the heart, including 2D Doppler, stress echo, and transesophageal studies, under cardiology supervision.

The position is per diem, part-time, on-site at Lourdes Health System with an hourly rate of $52.50. ARDMS/CCI credential within one year is required, along with a graduate of an accredited program and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience.
• Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures.
• ARDMS or CCI credential within one year of hire; RDCS Pediatric credential for pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Completes 2D echo Doppler studies and edits in digital system for interpretation.
• Completes stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies for interpretation.
• Completes transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist and processes for interpretation.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the department Director and the Medical Director, Section of Cardiology, the echocardiographer will perform high quality ultrasound images of the heart as outlined by the International Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories and departmental policies and procedures. Staff will perform 2D echo Doppler studies, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Staff will support Virtua Health Policies and Procedures and the Virtua Health Mission and Vision Statement.

Job Responsibilities

• Completes 2D echo Doppler studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist, edits and processes for physician interpretation.

Position Qualifications Required

• Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience. Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures.
• Required Education: Graduate of accredited echocardiography program.
• Training / Certification / Licensure: Echo techs must be credentialed through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire. Pediatric Echocardiography requires RDCS Pediatric credential or approval by interpreting pediatric cardiologists.

Hourly Rate: $52.50
