Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees, NJ seeks an Echocardiographer to perform high quality heart ultrasound studies, including 2D Doppler and stress echo, following laboratory policies and procedures. The role also supports patient care in the heart care program across community locations including Marlton.

You will collaborate with cardiology staff, maintain credentialing, and adhere to safety standards in a part‑time, on‑site capacity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program.
• ARDMS or CCI credentialing within 12 months of hire.
• BLS Certification.
• RDCS Pediatric credential for pediatric echocardiography when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2D echo Doppler studies and edits in digital system for interpretation.
• Performs stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies and edits for interpretation.
• Performs transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist and edits for interpretation.

Job Summary: Under the direction of the department Director and the Medical Director, Section of Cardiology, the echocardiographer will perform high quality ultrasound images of the heart as outlined by the International Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories and departmental policies and procedures. Staff will perform 2D echo Doppler studies, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Staff will support Virtua Health Policies and Procedures and the Virtua Health Mission and Vision Statement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Completes 2D echo Doppler studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist, edits and processes for physician interpretation.

Position Qualifications Required:

• Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience. Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures.
• Required Education: Graduate of accredited echocardiography program.
• Training / Certification / Licensure: Echo techs must be credentialed through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire.
• BLS Certification
• Pediatric Echocardiography requires RDCS Pediatric credential or approval by interpreting pediatric cardiologists
