Job summary

Virtua Health in Moorestown, NJ is seeking an Echocardiographer PRN to perform high-quality ultrasound imaging of the heart in outpatient settings.

The role requires 1 year of echocardiography experience, ARDMS or CCI certification within one year, and graduation from an accredited program; BLS is required. This is a per diem, part-time position with an hourly rate of $52.50 and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience.
• Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures.
• Graduate of accredited echocardiography program.
• ARDMS or CCI credential within one year of hire; RDCS Pediatric credential or approval.

Responsibilities

• Completes 2D echo Doppler studies and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist and processes for interpretation.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the department Director and the Medical Director, Section of Cardiology, the echocardiographer will perform high quality ultrasound images of the heart as outlined by the International Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories and departmental policies and procedures. Staff will perform 2D echo Doppler studies, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms. Staff will support Virtua Health Policies and Procedures and the Virtua Health Mission and Vision Statement.

Job Responsibilities

• Completes 2D echo Doppler studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes stress echo and dobutamine stress echo studies, edits in digital system, and processes for physician interpretation.
• Completes transesophageal echocardiograms with the cardiologist, edits and processes for physician interpretation.

Position Qualifications Required

• Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience.
• Knowledge of Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography procedures.
• Required Education: Graduate of accredited echocardiography program.
• Training / Certification / Licensure: Echo techs must be credentialed through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire. BLS Certification Pediatric Echocardiography requires RDCS Pediatric credential or approval by interpreting pediatric cardiologists.
