The Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking experienced Cardiac Sonographers to join our Non-Invasive Cardiology team at Hartford Hospital. The Hartford Hospital Echo Cardiology department has experienced significant growth over the past several years, due in part to the expansion of the Structural Heart team.

We are a high volume, fast paced department which performed over 14,000 procedures last year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved cardiovascular program.
• Associates Degree in Health Care; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CPR Certification required.
• 1–2 years echo experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with 2D, M-mode, Doppler, TEE and stress echo.
• Familiarity with 3D and strain imaging.
• RDCS/CCI registration required.
• Moderate computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform transthoracic and stress echo studies, myocardial strain, and 3D imaging.
• Assist in trans-esophageal echoes and participate in research studies.
• Support fellowship training for Cardiology Fellows and lead quality improvement via echo conferences.
• Collaborate as a team member within the department and across the hospital.
