Job summary

Hartford HealthCare in Backus Hospital, Norwich, CT, seeks an Intermediate Echocardiographer to perform and assist with adult echocardiography tests and related duties, ensuring high quality diagnostic studies. This role may involve pediatric imaging per CCMC protocol and collaboration with Cardiologists on preliminary findings.

• RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS certification required.
• Valid CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with adult echocardiographic tests and related duties to provide high quality diagnostic studies.
• Obtains pediatric echocardiographic images according to CCMC pediatric protocol.
• Provides safe and appropriate care to patients undergoing echocardiography and communicates preliminary findings to the Cardiologist.

Job Summary

Intermediate level Echocardiographer. Performs and assists with a variety of adult echocardiographic tests and other related duties according to department policies and procedures in order to provide high quality diagnostic studies. Able to obtain pediatric echocardiographic images according to CCMC pediatric protocol.

Provides safe and appropriate care to patients undergoing echocardiography by maintaining comprehensive understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. Provides preliminary findings to Cardiologist to aid in the interpretation of the study.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree in Health Related Field. Bachelor’s degree in Health Related Field preferred.

Experience: One year previous Echocardiography experience. Two years Echocardiography experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Licensure, Certification, Registration: RCS by CCI or RDCS by ARDMS certification required. Valid CPR certification required.
