Job summary

Pride Health is seeking an Echocardiographer to support a client healthcare facility in Mt Kisco, NY. The position is a local contract, 4+ months, with work hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

You will perform echocardiograms, obtain high-quality images, review findings for cardiologist interpretation, and help maintain patient safety and comfort. 1-2 years of hands-on echocardiography experience and an Echocardiographer certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Echocardiography, or Cardiovascular Technology.
• Echocardiographer certification required.
• 1-2 years hands-on echocardiography experience; cardiology experience preferred.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasound examinations to evaluate heart structure, function, and blood flow.
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images using appropriate scanning techniques and equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
• Review images for completeness and quality, document findings, and prepare results for interpretation by the cardiologist or ordering provider.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout examinations while explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns professionally.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team members, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure proper equipment handling and infection control.

Pay Range: $42 to $46/hour*

*Pay offered is based on experience,expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties

Requirements

• Years of experience: 1-2 years of hands‑on echocardiography scanning experience; cardiology experience preferred.
• Skills/Specialties/Technology: Echocardiography and cardiac ultrasound scanning, diagnostic image acquisition, cardiac anatomy and function assessment, patient care, accurate documentation, equipment handling, strong communication skills, positive personality, high energy, and flexibility.
