Job summary

Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, CA, is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and related cardiac testing. You will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and accurate study results.

The role requires RDMS/RDCS or equivalent credentials with CPR, and preferred candidates have acute care ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a registered sonography credential (RDMS/RDCS) and CPR.
• Experience in acute care ultrasound preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs technically correct echocardiograms that are high resolution and contrast quality per protocol.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology for echocardiographic diagnostic purposes.
• Maintains quality control procedures and records on echocardiographic equipment.
• Performs cardiac diagnostic procedures (EKGs, EEGs, holter monitoring/scanning, telephonic arrhythmia monitoring) per protocol for inpatients and outpatients; adult and pediatric.
• Recognizes abnormal EKG rhythms and cardiac abnormalities on echo; notifies RN or MD.
• Checks emergency resuscitation/crash cart equipment daily and assures availability for procedures.

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.

To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

• Performs technically correct echocardiograms that are of high resolution and contrast quality per protocol
• Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology for echocardiographic diagnostic purposes.
• Maintains quality control procedures and records on echocardiographic equipment.
• Performs cardiac diagnostic cardiac procedures (EKGs, EEGs, holter monitoring/scanning, telephonic arrhythmia monitoring) per protocol for both inpatients and outpatients; adult and pediatric.
• Recognizes both abnormal EKG rhythms and cardiac abnormalities on echo that are potentially life threatening notifying appropriate person, RN or MD.
• Checks emergency resuscitation/crash cart equipment daily and assures availability for procedures.
