Job summary

Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, part of Dignity Health, seeks an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and capture high-quality cardiac images. You will operate ultrasound equipment daily, ensure patient comfort, and select the proper probe for optimal results.

The role requires strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, technical proficiency, and clear communication to provide excellent diagnostic services for cardiovascular care.

Qualifications

• 2-D, M-Mode and Color Flow Doppler Echo experience on adults.
• Graduate of a Cardiac Echo ultrasound program.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification.
• CDS/sonographer registrations provided upon hire or already held.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures and capture cardiac images.
• Operate ultrasound equipment daily while ensuring patient comfort.
• Select appropriate probe and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Assist Cardiologist in interpretation of studies.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions.

Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies.

To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

Operation of Cardiac Ultra Sound Equipment

Able to perform a complete array of Diagnostic Ultra Sound Procedures as ordered by a Physician.

Able to select proper probe to obtain excellent results for Cardiologist interpretation.

Able to trouble shoot equipment in determining possible failure.

Uses positioning and immobilization devices as appropriate in safe and effective manner

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies and 1-3 years Technologist will have a minimum of 1 year experience performing 2-D, M-Mode, and Color Flow Doppler Echo's on adults.,

• Technologist will have graduated from a Cardiac Echo ultrasound program.,

• Basic Life Support - CPR,

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, upon hire or

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire

Preferred

• Experience and competence in performing Echos on Pediatric patients, upon hire

$48.95 - $60.79 /hour
