Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo/Vascular Technician to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and support the clinical team at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with physicians and caregivers.

You will progress through competency levels with ARDMS/CCI credentials and BLS certification, while mentoring students and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Echo Technologist I/II/III level credentials as applicable (ARDMS/CCI)
• BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Two or more registry credentials with ARDMS/CCI/ACS as applicable
• Minimum experience levels: 1+ year for I, 5+ years for III with required education
• Internal/external credentialing process and supervisor approvals are required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography and vascular ultrasound exams following department protocols.
• Coordinate exams with physicians, staff and patients and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document results accurately and apply correct charge codes.
• Mentor staff and students in equipment use and technique.
• Maintain equipment and stock supplies; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide patient education and support to caregivers and families as appropriate.
