Job summary

Mount Carmel, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Sonographer to support cardiovascular imaging goals in Columbus, OH. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to policy, and accurate data documentation.

The candidate should have ARDMS certification with RVT/RDCS or equivalent, BLS, and preferably an Associate or Bachelor in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with at least one year of cardiovascular imaging experience.

Qualifications

• ARDMS RVT/RDCS or equivalent certification required/preferred
• BLS certification required
• Associates or Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• Minimum 1 year cardiovascular imaging experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Creates a patient-centered care environment and supports patient safety and quality initiatives.
• Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedures and identify patients.
• Performs all sonography studies according to policy and accrediting standards; explains procedures to patients.
• Obtains pertinent health history and enters data accurately into diagnostic systems; ensures report accuracy.
• Communicates patient data to the care team and collaborates with other departments to ensure optimal care.
