Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform vascular diagnostic testing in accordance with accreditation guidelines. The role requires ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS (or board-eligible with certification within 12 months) and at least 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience.

The position offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires, a full-time schedule with rotating shifts, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate or Bachelor degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARDMS RVT or CCI RVS or ARDMS/CCI board-eligible and certify within 12 months.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in cardiovascular imaging preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Effective communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedures and patient identification.
• Performs vascular diagnostic studies per policy and accreditation standards.
• Explains procedures to patients and answers questions, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Obtains health history and enters data accurately in systems.
• Communicates data to team members and collaborates with other departments.
• Maintains equipment knowledge and participates in new equipment evaluation.
• Pursues registry maintenance and annual competencies; participates in PI activities.
