Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, TX is seeking an Echo Technician to perform diverse echocardiograms including 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, and stress studies under supervision of non-invasive cardiology.

The candidate should have an associate degree echo program completion or accredited training, be ARDMS or CCI certified (RDCS/RCS) and capable of operating Philips iE33/EPIQ systems; BLS may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required
• Experience with Philips iE33/EPIQ and TEE probes
• 1 year hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Completes forms/records/logs accurately for billing.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Manages supplies within the budget and participates in continuing education requirements.
