Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Echo Tech for the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department. The Echo Tech will perform, record and report three channel EKGs, M-Mode, 2D and 3D echocardiography under supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee.

Preferred candidates hold a Certified Non-Invasive Echocardiogram Technologist credential or have completed an accredited ultrasound program with echocardiography experience. Registry should be obtained within one year of graduation.

Qualifications

• Certified Non-Invasive Echocardiogram Technologist preferred.
• Or a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program which includes Echocardiogram or has had previous experience as an Echocardiogram Tech.
• Registry to be obtained within 1 year of graduation of accredited ultrasound program.

Responsibilities

• Perform, record and report echocardiography procedures including 2D/3D imaging.
• Operate echocardiography equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to department protocols.

EDUCATION:

Certified Non-Invasive Echocardiogram Technologist preferred. Or a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program which includes Echocardiogram or has had previous experience as an Echocardiogram Tech. Registry to be obtained within (1) one year of graduation of accredited ultrasound program.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in performing Echocardiograms preferred.

SKILLS:

In-depth knowledge of all facets of echocardiography and typing. BLS required.
