Job summary

Methodist Southlake Medical Center seeks an experienced echocardiography technologist to perform 2D, M-Mode, color Doppler, pulse wave and transesophageal echocardiograms under supervision. You will prepare patients, operate GE Vivid E95 equipment, and ensure standards and safety protocols are followed.

The ideal candidate has ARDMS/RCS credentials, BLS current, and excellent communication skills. Work is Mon-Fri 8x5 with on-call responsibilities in a high-volume cardiology lab.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an associate degree echo program and/or an accredited echo training program preferred
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association required
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) required

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Completes echocardiographic worksheet for physicians review and interpretation.
• Supports department Quality Assurance with accurate data collection.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and in a team, taking instruction from supervisors, patients and vendors.
