Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center seeks an Echo Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiography studies, including 2D, M‑Mode, Doppler, and TEE, under supervision in a high‑tech cardiac care setting.

The candidate should have an associate degree in echocardiography, ARDMS/RCS credentials, BLS, and strong communication skills; experience with Philips iE33/EPIQ and Epic is a plus. Hospital experience preferred, with adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires graduate from an accredited echo program or equivalent, plus clinical readiness.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS preferred.
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assures proper patient identification and safety.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patient.
• Demonstrates understanding of universal precautions.
• Prepares echocardiographic worksheet for physician review and interpretation.
• Supports QA through accurate data collection for procedures.
• Completes forms/records and billing logs.
• Manages supplies and forms within budget.
