Job summary

Zeeland Hospital, part of Corewell Health, seeks an Echo Tech for the Cardiovascular Imaging department in Zeeland, MI. The role is part-time (32 hours weekly) with day shifts and variable 8-hour shifts.

Site: Zeeland Hospital, 8333 Felch, Zeeland. Department: Cardiovascular Imaging - Zeeland Hosp. Employment type: Part time. Hours: Day shift, 32 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in ultrasound or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of echo including 2D, Doppler, color Doppler, TEE, TTE, stress echo and congenital heart disease is required.
• 3 years of relevant experience in echo is preferred.
• CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer RDCS/CRT or equivalent certification within 180 days is required.
• CRT-BLS – BLS certification within 90 days is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cardiac testing including stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, and fetal echocardiograms as indicated.
• Calculate acquired data and prepare studies for medical staff interpretation.
• Perform ultrasound tests appropriate for patient morphology and pathology.

Scope of work

Echo Techs perform a variety of cardiac testing including, stress, transesophageal, transthoracic, dobutamine stress echocardiograms and others as indicated (ICE, 3D, strain, specialty and fetal echocardiograms); calculates acquired data and prepares study for medical staff interpretation. Performs ultrasound tests appropriate for patient specific morphology and pathology.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree from an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent
• Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through schooling training and experience related to echo including in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echo and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs. Required
• 3 years of relevant experience in two-dimensional, doppler, color doppler, transesophageal echocardiology (TEE), transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echos and understanding of complex congenital heart disease and surgical repairs. Preferred
• CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, registered (RCS) within 180 days required.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC within 90 days required
