Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction. Full-time, 40 hours weekly, four 10-hour shifts 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday with a rotating day off and on-call responsibilities requiring a 30-minute response.

Qualifications include ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution preferred; degree will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for the exam by educating patient and family on procedure and transporting the patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and other needed information.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique.
