Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Echo Tech II to perform inpatient and outpatient echocardiography, including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, and color imaging for adult patients. The role supports stress and transesophageal echo procedures and requires proficiency in imaging and documentation.

Applicants should have an associate degree with echocardiography training, BLS, and ARDMS/CCI registry status, with hospital-based Doppler experience. Spanish-speaking skills and telemedicine exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with one-year relevant experience.
• Graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
• BLS Certified.
• Active ARDMS or CCI Echo registry status.
• 1 year of experience in hospital-based Doppler echocardiography including transesophageal and transthoracic echo.
• Must demonstrate imaging skills.
• Computer application aptitude.
• Preferred: ability to speak Spanish; 3 years of experience; telemedicine transmissions experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs adult 2-D, M-Mode, pulsed, continuous and color Doppler echocardiograms per policy and procedure.
• Provides patient care with emphasis on safety and accuracy.
• Operates within department and hospital policies and uses Microsoft Office tools.
• Maintains image documentation, archives studies, and reviews with cardiology.
• Supports stress echo and transesophageal echo procedures as needed.
