Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an Echo Tech II for Cardiology on a full-time, days schedule. The role involves performing adult echocardiography (2-D, M-Mode, Doppler) with stress and transesophageal capabilities as needed.

Qualified applicants will have an accredited cardiac ultrasound background, ARDMS/CCI Echo registry, and BLS certification. Great benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with one year of relevant experience.
• Graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
• BLS certification is required.
• Active ARDMS or CCI Echo registry status.
• Hospital Doppler echocardiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult 2-D, M-Mode, pulsed, continuous and color Doppler echocardiograms per policy.
• Assist with stress echocardiography and transesophageal echo as requested.
• Provide timely documented results and communicate findings to the cardiologist.
• Maintain patient safety and accuracy in imaging and data entry.
• Operate within Syngo and EPIC, and support lab ICAEL activities.
• Precept sonographer interns and participate in continuing education.
