Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a PRN Cardiac Sonographer for night shifts (6:00pm-6:00am) to cover Fridays and additional PTO/call nights. The role focuses on performing and monitoring cardio-diagnostic tests, with emphasis on echocardiography and Doppler studies, for patients from pediatric to geriatric.

You will provide preliminary findings to physicians, operate and position equipment, and ensure patient care with compassion and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Must be eligible to sit for registry within 1 year (RDCS, RCS, ACS, RCCS).
• May require Indiana ISDH license if applicable.
• Pass written EKG interpretation exam with score >85%.
• Minimum of 1 year echocardiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs, administers & monitors cardio-diagnostic tests with emphasis on cardiac sonography and Doppler.
• Provides physician with preliminary findings of recorded data in a timely fashion.
• Operates equipment, positions patients correctly and records diagnostic images.
• Treats patients with care and respect across pediatric to geriatric groups.
