IU Health is seeking a PRN Echocardiography Sonographer to perform cardiac ultrasound and Doppler studies, provide preliminary findings, and ensure proper patient positioning. You will work on Fridays 6:00pm-6:00am with additional nights to cover PTO/call-ins.

Requirements include Basic Life Support, registry eligibility within one year (RDCS or RCCS), and potential licensure. Prior echocardiography experience is preferred, and compassion for patients of all ages is essential.

Competenze

• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Eligible to sit for registry within one year of start date and pass for ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCCS.
• May require additional modality licensing if applicable.
• Pass written EKG interpretation exam with score >85%.
• Minimum of one year Echocardiography experience preferred.

Overview

PRN Night Shift - Every Friday from 6:00pm-6:00am + other nights of the week covering PTO/Call-Ins.

Performs, administers & monitors Cardio-Diagnostic tests with primary emphasis on cardiac sonography and doppler studies. Administers all Cardio-Diagnostic tests. Provides physician with preliminary findings of recorded data through monitoring and performing the necessary calculations, in a timely fashion while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

• Basic Life Support certification required. May also require Advanced Life Support certification, if applicable.
• Applicant must be eligible to sit for their registry at the time of hire and must successfully pass it within one year from start date through one ofthe following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS): Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RDCS; or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Registered Cardiac Sonographer, RCS, Advanced Cardiac Sonographer, ACS, or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer, RCCS.
• May be required to meet registry/certification requirements for another modality, if applicable.
• May require license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), if applicable.
• Pass written exam for Basic EKG interpretation with score >85% initially and repeat yearly.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Minimum of one year of experience in Echocardiography, preferred.
