Job summary

The Southeast Georgia Health System Inc / SGHS is seeking a Department Support Coordinator (Charge Capture) to audit ECC encounters, validate facility charges, and drive accurate, compliant charge capture across the health system. This role ensures proper CMS reporting, reduces revenue leakage, and supports continuous improvement in charging workflows.

Qualifications

• Audit ECC encounters for accurate facility level assignment and charge capture.
• Validate and enter injection, hydration, infusion, and medication administration charges based on clinical documentation.
• Identify and resolve missed, duplicate, or unsupported charges.
• Monitor compliance with CMS, payer, and organizational charging guidelines.
• Collaborate with ECC leadership, Revenue Integrity, Coding, HIM, and Patient Financial Services to resolve charging discrepancies.
• Conduct routine charge reconciliation and revenue recovery reviews.
• Assist with charge master maintenance and charging workflow improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain reports identifying charge capture trends, audit findings, and revenue opportunities.
• Assist with appropriate use of infusion-related modifiers and units of service.
